The r Force General Hospital, serving as the clinical teaching hospital for over ten renowned universities including the Second Military Medical University, Third Military Medical University, and Fourth Military Medical University, is a distinguished medical institution housing more than 200 senior experts who lead PLA general medical technology. The Director of the Department of Hepatobiliary Surgery, Dr. Zhang Hongyi, holds an esteemed position as a doctoral advisor. His extensive work includes pioneering efforts in liver transplant research dating back to 1989, followed by his academic journey abroad where he studied live liver transplant clinical practices at the University of Tokyo in 2000.
Dr. Zhang has published more than sixty papers across domestic and international core journals, garnering numerous accolades from military institutions as well as the Ministry of Health for significant contributions to scientific advancements and technological progress.
Innovation exts beyond the realm of surgery with the Hematology department. Since 1999, this department has specialized in half-matching bone marrow transplants, mntning a globally recognized leadership position both domestically and abroad.
